About Our Pastor
Pastor Xavier was born on May 21, 1991 in the city of Beeville, Texas. Shortly after, he had a terrible accident that nearly claimed his life. It left him legally blind in one eye, and with a limp that he would have for the rest of his life. Soon after, his mother packed them up and moved to Bronx, New York. They lived New York until he was 11 years old, when they moved to Orlando, Fl. in September of 2001.
Just a few years later, the bus ministry of Starlight Baptist Church in Winter Springs invited Pastor and his family to church. On October 17, 2004, he received Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. From then, he would go to church occasionally, dropping out from time to time. When he was 16, He went through a very dark time where he struggled with suicidal depression and even went to jail. God intervened. God would raise up the youth pastor of his church to become extremely instrumental in his growth. In the spring of 2009 Pastor Xavier rededicated his life to the Lord. In the summer of 2009 he surrendered to the ministry, and in 2010 he went off to Pensacola Christian College.
In 2014, Pastor graduated from PCC with a Bachelors in Bible with a Youth Ministry Emphasis. The same year, he became the assistant pastor of Orlando Baptist Temple, where he worked pre-dominantly with teens. In 2017, he received his ordination and in the fall married his beautiful wife, Kalaia. In 2018 He published his first book, "Braille: A Practical Approach to Working with Teens". In February of 2019, with a 100% "yay" vote, he became the 8th Senior Pastor of Orlando Baptist Temple. Pastor Xavier is currently working on his masters in clinical mental health therapy from Liberty University.
